A diamond border is typical of a Moroccan mosaic table . In addition to the decorative function, it also has a symbolic function: as stylized eyes (witch eyes), square diamonds are supposed to protect people from any kind of harm. The mosaic setters place a wide variety of patterns and ornaments into this frame. However, one thing is always the same: the glazed mosaic pieces are previously carved from the handcrafted Zellige tiles with a sharp-edged hammer. Each table top is purely handcrafted and therefore absolutely unique.
The color of the round dining table with green diamonds also refers to religion: many mosques are covered with green tiles. In the garden, this Zellige mosaic blends particularly discreetly into the green surroundings. Complemented with a light beige base tone, this mosaic table is perfect for a natural garden as well as a country house style terrace .
